Care built for

From the first antenatal visit to safe delivery, immunisation, diagnostics, and beyond — GACHC provides eight essential health services to thousands of families across Gwale and Dala, with more on the way.

Antenatal Care

A healthy pregnancy, every step.

Our ANC programme provides regular prenatal monitoring, ultrasound referrals, iron and folate supplementation, malaria prophylaxis, tetanus immunisation, and full birth planning support. We serve hundreds of expectant mothers each month across twelve wards.

Postnatal Care

Support beyond delivery.

Our postnatal team visits new mothers within 48 hours of discharge, monitors newborn weight gain and jaundice, provides breastfeeding counselling, screens for postpartum complications, and connects families to ongoing child welfare services.

Normal Deliveries

Skilled hands at the most vital moment.

Our delivery suite is staffed around the clock by skilled birth attendants trained in active management of labour, partograph monitoring, immediate newborn care, and emergency obstetric first response. We conduct hundreds of safe deliveries each year.

Immunisation

Protecting the next generation.

We run Nigeria Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) vaccines for children from birth through 24 months, plus maternal tetanus toxoid. Our outreach teams bring immunisation to ward-level venues to reach children who cannot attend the facility.

Family Planning

Informed choices, empowered families.

We offer the full range of modern family planning methods: oral contraceptives, injectables, implants, IUDs, condoms, and natural family planning education. All services are voluntary, confidential, and provided with respectful counselling.

Laboratory Services

Accuracy that guides every decision.

Our laboratory processes hundreds of samples weekly for malaria rapid diagnostic tests, full blood counts, urine microscopy and culture, HIV screening, syphilis serology, blood glucose, and antenatal screening panels — all within the facility.

Infection Prevention

Safety is non-negotiable here.

Our IPC programme — strengthened through our MSF partnership — covers standard precautions, waste segregation, sharps safety, hand hygiene campaigns, surface decontamination, and regular staff training. We maintain triage systems that protect vulnerable patients.

Referral Services

No patient left without a next step.

When a patient requires specialist care, surgery, or intensive intervention, our staff prepare detailed referral notes, stabilise the patient, coordinate with receiving facilities, and where possible arrange transport. We track outcomes to improve our referral pathways continuously.
