ABOUT US
Healing Communities,
One Family
at a Time.
Since 2010, the Gidauniyar Alheri Community Health Centre has been the heartbeat of primary healthcare across Gwale and Dala in Kano State — ranked Nigeria’s #1 PHC and caring for thousands of mothers, children, and families who have nowhere else to turn.
Our Story
Built from faith,
sustained by purpose.
Gidauniyar Alheri — meaning “Foundation of Grace” — was founded in June 2010 with a singular conviction: that every family in Kano State deserves access to quality primary healthcare, regardless of income or location.
What began as a modest community health post serving twelve traditional wards has grown into a nationally recognised centre of excellence. Today we serve Gwale, Dala, and expanding surrounding areas — a lifeline for mothers giving birth, children receiving vaccines, and families managing chronic conditions with nowhere else to turn.

Key Milestones
Fifteen years of
purposeful growth.
Gidauniyar Alheri Community Health Centre was formally commissioned by Governor Ibrahim Shekarau, beginning its mission to deliver quality primary healthcare to underserved communities across Kano State.
A major structural renovation funded by Dr. Shamsuddeen Usman saved the facility from demolition, restoring and modernising the centre to continue serving thousands of families in Gwale and Dala.
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) partnered with GACHC, deploying approximately 50 staff. The collaboration dramatically expanded capacity for maternal care, skilled deliveries, and community health outreach.
GACHC was ranked #1 Primary Health Centre among over 1,400 facilities in Kano State and recognised among Nigeria's 28 best PHCs for antenatal care attendance and skilled birth delivery.
Following the renovation and sustained excellence in service delivery, GACHC was recommissioned by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, cementing its status as a flagship community health facility.
